My mother deals at NYNY she makes crappy tips as far as I know. She did better at Palazzo when she was there. She has been dealing since the late 80's maybe?

Tipping is certainly subjective. Win a big bet - tip. Sit for 20 minutes and no good wins - no tip. If you have been sitting at a table for 20 minutes without a decent win you shouldn't be at that table anyway.

Good luck with that. I have found myself not watching the news, not reading a paper, ignoring the crap on the Internet, or at least laughing at the crap the Internet provides.

I still can't avoid all of it. Even here on CD it is persistent.

I always avoid clicking anything that claims the internet is breaking, twitter is furious, this one weird "hack" is "mind blowing", what <insert some news anchor here> tweeted to Trump today is "genius", what <insert celebrity here> wore today has Instagram "freaking out", etc. You know, the typical "breaking news" that we're fed on any given day. But sometimes I click the more subtle titles by accident

This is not true. My roommate is a retired blackjack dealer. He made an average of $50,000 a year. He is 74 and retired on $1,500 a month social security. It is a good job and hardly the lowest paid job in the state.

I am a retired dealer as of 2015 and talk to my other dealers all the time and I am calling bull****

Even at a "break in" property you are making minimum wage plus tips.

Table games normally splits by itself and craps tends to be their own department so to speak, at many properties.

I have friends dealing on the strip and making a good living working 3 shifts a week.

Poker is a whole different beast and it is slowly dying in many locations sadly.

They need to make rounders part 2

If you are not making good money dealing you need to change "houses".

Dealers are massively overpaid.

An Orangutan could deal blackjack if they could say, "Insurance?"
