I'm wondering what people (Not parents) think of the town? I'm not looking for elementary schools, I'm childless by choice. Are there safe areas vs bad ones? I'm interested in condo communities, are there a variety? How do the cops treat people?

I own a townhouse in SE Henderson (zip 89002). I love it there, it's clean, quiet, safe, etc and a bit above the Vegas valley in elevation so it's a bit separate from the city. There's some new build townhouses going up in the area in the low/mid $200k's depending on your budget (Union Trails is one with great mountain views: https://www.beazer.com/las-vegas-NV/union-trails). BTW the schools in the area do rate pretty high which is always good for property values.

I'm in 89052 (Anthem/Seven Hills). Love it here. Not far from tons of stuff to do, shopping, restaurants etc.

The whole area to the east of me is great too (Green Valley Ranch etc)

I live in 89014, north east part of Green Valley Ranch. Moved to Henderson because of the safety and the appearance of the area. Fewer homeless people and friendly area.

I’m also in 89052, but Macdonald Ranch / South Green Valley, and I love it too. My aunt is in the same zip in Sun City Anthem and has loved it for her 18 years there or whatever it is. Also like you OP, we are childfree and didn’t care about “family friendly” (a meaningless phrase if ever there was one since it seems to translate only to “not a crime ridden ghetto,” which is what everyone with or without kids tries wants). We heard too many times that Summerlin was SO family friendly and that was a good reason to choose Henderson as far as I was concerned. It’s more active, tons of stuff close, hundreds of restaurants, great place if you don’t have kids too. Short drive to the Strip but never have to go if you don’t want as we have so many dining options here and everything you need.

Good luck in your search! Maybe we’ll meet one day, we need to make some non-parent friends who intend to stay that way.

LOL I went to Summerlin one time for an event. Fancy houses with good neighborhood security but damn, the area is QUIET. Great area to be in if you want peace and quiet. Some people say that the police rarely drive around that part of town. I now know why....
