4 weeks ago I spent the day driving my friend around in his Tesla. He tested positive for corona. He was one of the ones the news reported on at the Raider's stadium.
I then played about 14 games of pool at his house.
So, either I already have/had corona and ain't bothered by it, or I'm immune to it.

I think, as I said from the beginning, this was a trumped up seasonal illness that had no business shutting down the world economy.

I didn't (intend to?) suggest the increase was because of reopening, there are plenty of other places (countries) that aren't experiencing any excess increase in cases after reopening

I haven't really looked at the data closely yet, but it will be interesting to see in a couple of weeks if this thing can be tamed or not. Among other states, Florida particularly doesn't seem to be doing too well

My reference to reopening was a general comment and was not directed at you. I apologize for any misunderstanding in that regard.

Actually, Florida is doing quite well. I would encourage you and others who may be interested to watch all of Governor Ron DeSantis' excellent press conference from yesterday. It may be the most informative press conference I have seen from any public official to date regarding COVID-19. Nevada's governor ought to watch this press conference for some guidance on how to keep the citizens of our state informed.

So because YOU have no symptoms it's not a problem and equivalent to seasonal flu.

Yet it's something that has killed 2x people than the average Flu season in 3 months

Got it

Has it killed all those people? Has it really?
Because I don't think it has.
I think the vast majority of those deaths were caused by other things.
I know for a fact that some of the deaths were ruled covid and weren't.

Pretty easy to look at deaths over normal and see something is not right. Pretty easy.

Lol, Florida has been the WORST state at transparency, fudging numbers, etc. Good grief.

Is it that simple though? Because of lockdown, it's more difficult to measure excess deaths accurately because fewer people are driving (less car crash deaths), fewer people are dying on the job (less work), etc, etc.

I think we can safely assume not all coronavirus deaths are accounted for and that's mainly because of the lag / time after death it takes to confirm this.
