I am so fed up with California's endless lockdowns. Bars have been shut down for about 9 months. Indoor dining has been shut down for about 8 months. I am ready to take a vacation somewhere... anywhere. I was wondering if bars are open as normal in Las Vegas?

Bars aren't open as "normal" anywhere. You can get a drink in a bar in Las Vegas, but you have to get it isolated from others, so only able to sit by yourself or with your group, and intentionally no mingling or much cross conversation. Now people aren't exactly following the rules 100%, but the bar atmosphere has changed a lot and its hurt their business so much that many are closed because people are probably just drinking at home.

25% capacity, masks and social distancing. Could change at any time--for better or worse, depending on what you consider better or worse.

Check website or call the place you want to visit to confirm their status.

Not every bar business is open--some have reduced hours. One across from me has elected not to reopen, while another half block away, a VP restaurant/bar is serving under the current restrictions. Sportsbooks are serving at their bar areas, but I have not been to every sportsbook in the valley, so take a minute and call before you travel....it will be worth your time to check first.

Keep your butt in Cali. The Bars are not open like normal, it's open but it's anything but normal here. Go to Tijuana and knock your self out!! I heard the Mexicans love the Americans bringing them $$ business and Covid.

Could Vegas function if bars were closed? Too much sobriety would make the train stop.

Bars aren’t open in Las Vegas in the traditional sense. Wife and I were there in December and a few lounges were open, requiring reservations.

As an aside, since you are from LA, I can tell you that in OC they are apparently not enforcing restaurant and bar closures as Saturday night I saw a few restaurants and bars open.

I was just looking at some YouTube video's of Las Vegas and it's heart-breaking to see the train has virtually stopped up there.
