I am a huge fan (in both of the truest senses) of Napoli. I have not had a bad item yet and between me and my girl, we've been through plenty of their menu. Not strictly a take out joint but it's accommodations aren't really for regular dining.

On Buzz's point, I'm always baffled that the chain restaurants have patrons at all in this town. There are so many great little places with better variety/quality and similar pricing. I'm not just talking about casino eateries, although there are plenty of affordable and tasty joints, but valley wide. I see the TGIF's at the Orleans packed and I just laugh. Why visit someplace and just do the same things you'd do at home.

Thank you all; now I just need to taste-test these places.

Default Jack Hills NY Pizza

Had a chance encounter with Jack Hills on Tropical Pkwy by the WalMart/Sams Club.

Very good. Had the antipasto salad and a "works" pizza. Both quite good. Waitress said to request the thin crust well done. Just perfect.

Good crowd of regulars. Clearly a local success.

Does take out - and free delivery.

I gather their is another over in Summerlin on Charleston somewhere.

Complained to the owner that he was not even pouring a rut gut chianti...only a drinkable Merlot. He said he had Chianti in his Summerlin locations where they paid attention to wine but that nobody in the NW cared. Did promise us a box of Chianti though.

That San genarro feast In Vegas is absolutely horrible. It is simply a marketing bonanza hell. As soon as you walk thru the gates you are literally corraled to Nick nack peddlers and time share peddlers so beware! The food is not that great neither and sheesh anyone hear of hair nets and wiping sweat from the face before it drips in food?

Pretty gross, expensive, and the aggressive peddling make it not fun as an outing and just distasteful..

Even as far as putting up a sign in the parking lot real quick to charge $5, with no permits, no legal enclosures, and fake company t-shirts just to get cash out of people not paying attention!

Beware ! It's Vegas to the max !

I agree completely with you about not eating in chain restaurants. However, on a related note, I find it ironic that you and others here routinely recommend Mon Ami Gabi. There is one located in downtown Bethesda, MD, about 1/2 mile from my house, that no one recommends. Perhaps the one on the Strip is better than my local one, or perhaps its just the location across the street from the Bellagio fountains that merits its recommendation.

I disagree with your statement "it's Vegas to the max" only because I have attended San Gennaro festivals in other cities.

Ever been to the San Gennaro feast in NY? (the biggest and best in my personal opinion.) Or the one in Palm Beach, Florida, or the one in L.A.?

It's the same thing my friend with hawkers peddaling their wares, food is so-so ( I make better at home), knick knacks and bric a brac for sale galore, jewelry, religious goods, etc., carnival games, rides...expensive as all get out and don't forget those secured lots you park in with "questionable" security for $10.00 per day (the one in NY.) And those crowds!

C'mon now, get out in the world and travel a bit, attend some other festivals in other states. This one here in Las Vegas is no different.

Sorry you had such a bad experience, but most of the folks I know that attend every year absolutely love it. I enjoy it too, as I do the Greek Festival.

Actually the Italian Heritage Festival in Clarksburg, West Virginia, pop. approx 15,000 (yes W.Va. is one of the 50 states) has been one of the biggest and best for 31 years. 29th Annual West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival

I think the poster is just trying to show us how discriminating he/she is in putting our festival down, so I won't agree with them.

But I would like to see a little better organization to our twice yearly events. Not enough places to sit and eat once you get your food, too difficult to order from some of the booths, especially the busiest booth that is always placed right at the bottle neck entrance, ticket booths too disorganized and they don't take credit cards, aisles too narrow and crowded, strollers should be banned, more seating in front of the stage...more seating...more seating...more seating...everywhere. Maybe even rent some bleachers.

Until you brought it up I had no idea they had other locations. However, they are so upscale they are a long ways from being an Olive Garden, or Applebee's. That said, we went to Olive Garden just for the he** of it the other day, and it was very good. Too many great local Italian restaurants here to go to OG very often though. Our new fave is Gina's Bistro.

But Mon Ami Gabi in Las Vegas has very good service, great menu, and location, location, location.
