Hello,
Hope someone can assist. I'm single, empty-nester wanting to relocate to possibly to L.Vegas. While I will miss the culture of Chicago, I'm also a outdoors person that enjoys swimming, hiking, motorcycles, etc. And I prefer overall warmer weather, including hot summers as long as there is air-conditioning. Looking at Summerlin area? Somewhere near "The Lakes", perhaps? Any suggestions? Do not gamble, so interest in being near the "strip". Would like a decent route to airport to get back east when I feel like it. Thanks

Well those two areas arent really near the airport, but Summerlin/Lakes is by Red Rock Canyon, where you can hike. Are you getting a pool or maybe there's a community pool? Something to think about.

Thanks. I've only visited Las Vegas once outside of strip. I did hike at Red Rock and drove through the Summerlin area, so I mentioned that. Now that you mentioned it, it did take me awhile to drive back to the airport

As far as a pool, I will be hoping to find a community with a pool. Or condo/townhouse community with pool. Will admit I am a bit nervous about community associations. Have heard some horror stories.

Oh- On original e-mail, I left out a word. I meant to say "I don't need to live near strip". Thanks
jazlyn

If you're used to driving in Chicago, you won't have problems in Vegas. Just remember quite a few people on the road are in chemically altered states!

Check out the MLS online and you can get an idea of what's available.

Default chemically altered states

" I love it! " Chemically altered states! I will definately keep that in mind. And yes, I'm used to long travel times.

Default Long winters in Illinois!

I'm so tired of the long winters here! While we get some pleasant "mild winter" periods, overall the heat can still come on in October and last to May. I just want more sunshine and quicker rebounds!
