Can anyone reccomend a good, honest, reliable mechanic. We have a Subaru and have taken it to the dealer here but they haven't been very helpful? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've had work done on my Chevy Astro at Purrfect Auto on the north side of Ann Rd, west of the 95 (don't know the exact address). They're a chain, and I can't vouch for any other locations, but I'm quite satisfied with the price and quality of the work I've had done there.

I've also taken it to the dealer (Vista) twice and will NEVER give them my business again. I generally prefer dealer techs due to their specialized training, but when you find a good non-dealer mechanic, there's no comparison. They tend to have more experience and general knowledge, which is more valuable (to me) than knowing by memory which size wrench to get out of the tool box...

Be very careful in going to Purrfect Auto. While I am glad that swagger has had success, there has been numerous posts about Purrfect Auto ripping customers off. I have heard the same thing off the boards, I would recommend Dr. Auto on Ann Road off Simmons.

Don't Trust Purrfect Auto. My Nephew got taken from them for about $700.00. Had to have another company redo what they supposedly did. Never could get in touch with the owner, when we were trying to get our money back. He was always out of the Country.

Royalty Auto on Jones/Smoke Ranch. Ask for Giovanni. Very good guys and I take all my cars there for regular maintenance. My work truck is a toyota, so it never breaks down.
