Is the North and East side of Las Vegas safe to live or is the too much crime?

depends where... i do not recommend the NORTH EAST (by nellis, east of strip, etc)...

by North, you are ok if you are North of Craig and West of 15

You should do well on the east side. It's closer to many restaurants.

NorthWest Vegas is fine. Craig Road, from about where you would turn for Eldorado is fine and then all the way out to the mountain is fine as well. Ann Road, Lone Mountain, all of those are nice. Not like Green Valley, but nice enough. I would stay clear of Craig Rd (going towards Nellis)...Even by the base housing is a bit iffy.

Good luck.

I hear they have 22,000 foreclosures, so if you are in the market to buy....probably some good deals out there.

East used to be fine, but here lately you hear of them on nightly news with burglaries and crimes and DUIs so I feel that area has depreciated tremendously. About the other comments, I agree, stay away from Charleston/Nellis, AFB area - that's another area that is on the nightly news - fires, burglaries, cops getting shot, gangs having issues, etc.

Quick question:

If the area around Nellis AB is so bad, what would you locals rate the areas near Washington/Bonanza and D,E,F streets?

You guys really have to quit telling everyone to move up near me. We don't want crowded streets like Henderson has. Direct them to the east side, far west side, south side or Henderson. Thank you.
