Elon Musk & all those guys need to hurry up.

For as bad as people drive here, never lived somewhere with so many accidents & people getting hit by cars, I kinda assumed getting a license would be a breeze.
Comeon...

A couple of hours with an instructor and you will be able to parallel park adequately. If you work it right it is a really dumb skill. Just memorize the formula. That is why it is so widely automated. It is not hard.

Yea true I guess...I legit have no idea how easy or hard parallel parking is or isn't.

Being in the parallel parking position when other cars are around has always seemed like a stupid way to park to me thus I've never did it. The only time I've ever technically been in the parallel parked position is when there isn't a car for yards & based on my best knowledge there won't be anytime between when I'm parking & when I'm leaving & its like pulling over more than parking.

So learning how to do something that I'll never do again for a test & to pay for lessons to learn how to do it just seems sorta annoying & burdensome. That said I work from home, have tons of stores within walking distance, am a big fan of Amazon + feel like I'm saving money on car expenses (would need to buy a car, get insurance, pay for gas, pay for upkeep, etc) vs the money I spend on car sharing services & public transit so I'm sure I'm in a unique situation compared to others that makes me in no hurry to start this process that'll have minimal upside for me.

Or maybe I just need to plan some road trips or something.

Hey I don't know if you've already taken or scheduled your appointment, but for the drivers test try to got to the Decatur DMV in N LV I went to school up the street from there and got my license last year. There is barely anyone on the road 10am-1pm and it's really simple driving that's where I would practice my driving and drive my scooter. Don't forget to be really nice to your test person and do exaggerated head turns and looking over your shoulder, dont cross over the yellow line and there's mostly 4 way stops and like 2 traffic signals

There is a line to take the test, than a long line for your license if you pass. Parallel parking is not that many points none of my friends could do it and still passed
