I wanted to know if this a good area to buy a home. We have found a home with everything we are looking for, a pool, 3 car garage and $30000 under estimated value. The schools look good too. I've read this was the first village in Summerlin. Have the values been decreasing alot in this neighborhood?
When is the projected time for the highway widening to be done? Is there a lot of crime here?

Does not get a lot better. Lummis school. Low crime. Nice HOA facilities. Value of homes is realtively flat...as is true in every other similar neighborhood in Las Vegas. There has been no substantial decrease in the hills or any other village in northern Summerlin. The only place I see any significant price decrease is in the areas that were new in 2004 and 2005 and are suffering from flipper disease.

What subdivision is it in? I built a ton of pools in The Hills when they were being built in the mid 90's.
