Then we went over to find out what happens at 9 on Fremont St. Saw something, but not sure it was it. It was the only thing I could see happening at that time and there was a crowd. Right outside the Nugget, below the balcony.

Unfortunately, we were not as lucky as the Admiral. Maybe next time.
First Friday was very crowded last night. Probably people taking advantage of the "cool" 94º weather. Kimba, was that you I saw break dancing? Is your hair spiked, and green with pink highlights? Thought it was you. Couldn't say "Hi" because my wife won't let me talk to strangers. Afterwards we went to Luv It Custard for a chocolate soda. The xyl loved hers, but I thought it was the only thing I've ever had from there I didn't care for. Back to the Western Junior next time. My gin and tonic on Casino Center Blvd wasn't up to my standards either. Maybe it was me. Luv It had a line all the way to the mini mart too. He said it's always like that on FF.

Is somebody gonna tell us what the secret thing is on Fremont St?

Aww, airics...you have been on these boards long enough--you oughta know by now! Now you have to wait until the First Friday in Sept. and I will be back in MI.

Wow, Buzz, you saw me and didn't come up and say hi? I would have met your wife and then I wouldn't have been a stranger. Did you notice my husband in the gauze wrap and gold pleather pants? What a hottie!

Is the 'secret" thing on Fremont that you are talking about the light show?
I'm embarrassed to say that's the only thing I can think of & it's not very secret. But then I only get to Vegas about once a year to see family.
If you haven't seen it yet - it is pretty cool and worth the venture down to check it out.

That isn't what olecapt is talking about, and I've not only seen the light show many times, I watched them close off the street I used to cruise as a young'n, and build the cover over it. He says it's something that takes place at 9pm outside the Golden Nugget. I'm not sufficiently interested enough to take the trouble to be there at that time to see what ever "it" is. I just hope to brow beat someone who knows into into telling. Maybe we can get to the Admiral sometime and get her to stool on him.

Dude, I posted this before. First Friday Map (http://www.firstfriday-lasvegas.org/firstfridaymap.html - broken link)

AND this: Home Page

I was there about a month ago and noticed how badly it needed paint. He must have read my mind because he repainted it and you can already see the new color on his site. It used to be white.

I can't stand the suspense!
I might not get back to LV until November - perhaps I should bribe my niece into hanging there this Friday & reporting back to me.
