Decided to take a jaunt into Las Vegas today. Walked around the lower part of the strip this morning and then

headed downtown to check out Fremont street and environs. It was a perfect day. 65 and sunny with not a cloud in

site. Enjoy!

These first few shots are of the drive into town from Boulder City via US 93-95/I-515

A great mountain view as I headed West towards Las vegas Blvd on Tropicana

Making my way onto the strip. I walked from the MGM Grand all the way up to Bally's stopping at M&M's World, Coca-

Cola World and heading inside the Bellagio before riding the monorail back down to the MGM.

Monte Carlo Hotel. Can't even tell there was a fire there last year

Cool Coca-Cola bottle with an elevator inside. What a treat to ride.

These are shots of the CityCenter Project that is currently being built. It's massive!!!

Cool Half Motorcycle sticking outside a building

Miracle Mile Shops. Interesting shopping area. I really wasn't too impressed with it.

This was a cool shot I got of the Bellagio's famous pond (whatever you want to call it) walking up to the entrance

Some cool shots of the FAMOUS colored glass in the Bellagio lobby. Couldn't wait to see this!!

The Bellagio had a great Japanese Garden display going on today. It was an awesome display to walk through

This is one of my favorite pictures. This just came out so great. I LOVE IT!!!!

Making my way to the Las Vegas Monorail. Amazingly, this was the first time i've ridden the train. It's expensive but fun to ride.

Back at the car, I decided to drive up the strip towards downtown and snapped a few pics from the car

Now I have arrived in downtown Las Vegas. Not the greatest part of town. It's still pretty seedy and besides

Fremont Street, there is not much to do or see. But I came anyway so here's what I saw

Welcome to the Fremont Street Experience. Not as cool as I thought it would be but still an interesting place to visit

Neonopolis right across the street

Plaza Hotel on the other side of the Fremont street Experience

Down the street at the Main Street Station Casino

Fun Saloon right next to the Lady Luck Casino

These shots were taken from the top of a parking garage near 4th street at sunset

FBI Headquarters

And that's my tour of Sin City. Hope you enjoyed!

very nice pictures, come back at night, the downtown looks real nice to photograph at night...but you still can't get good shots of city center at night, it is of course nicer during the day...

Oh please. Yup, everyone who goes downtown is shot, little known LV fact.

I've stayed downtown 20 times in the past 5 years and never had a problem. If your under the canopy and even out a tad father than that these days you're fine. Now that I will be there even more regularly I be downtown even more!

I go out downtown all the time and have never had any sort of problem. Walked from Dino's to FSE on New Year's w/ two of my girlfriends. Never felt worried or unsafe at all.

I'm sure there are some unsavory spots and I wouldn't recommend passing out in an alley with a wallet full of cash, but it really is not as bad as you think it is!!

i've always seen metro police on horses downtown, especially First Friday, but i have seen them when FSE gets busy...otherwise, there is a big police presence and really nothing to be afraid of, mainly if you stick to Fremont and surrounding area...
