Two of the worst ghettos in town - Naked City behind the Stratosphere and "Crack Alley" (as VegasRex calls it) south of the Convention Center/LVCC are less than a mile from Sky. I don't know if there have actually been
seven murders there in the last sixty days, but there could be plenty of underreported killings in places like that. But Sky itself is fine, right on the Strip with lots of police presence and nothing but tourists walking around outside. The biggest risk is staring at that insane clown next door all day long.

I mean dude it's just a nightmare the lvmpd site will tell ya ALL of las vegas is SATURATED with robberies, assaults, batteries, homicides, laceny, narcotics, auto theft, rape, etc. etc.

Your assumption that the strip is the safest place in Vegas is laughable. Take a look at Centennial Hills (89131,89143) on the crime map. Maybe 10 incidents in the past 60 days, most of them minor disturbances.

Those zip codes are in the City of Las Vegas. And by Las Vegas I mean the actual city of Las Vegas, not the 3 square mile area you consider to be Vegas. They are nowhere near the strip. They are in the extreme NW part of the valley. Please keep in mind that there is much more to Vegas than the strip. Calling the strip the safest part of Vegas is ridiculous. FWIW, I would imagine that south strip (Warm Springs and Las Vegas Blvd S and beyond) is likely the safest part of the strip.

Dude, after all this time you are just NOW looking at crimeview maps for the neighborhood that you want to live in??? Wow, for someone who claims to be so smart (3.7 GPA, you said, I believe?), that's definitely not good research methods. You're all "c-rnked" up on living on the strip, and it never crossed your mind that the crime rates might be higher than the rest of Vegas? Way to do some research before moving from wherever the heck you are moving from! Wow, that's just a little bit scary there.
And seriously? to quote you directly "by Vegas, I mean the strip" - dude. Vegas encompases way more than the strip. The City of Las Vegas alone has over half a million people.... that's not including all of Las Vegas that is
technically Clark County - almost 2 million people.. all in all an area of about 133 square miles. Do the math.

The closest house of prostitution is in Nye County... yup, probably what? 90 minutes away... yes, you can get that stuff on the strip. But it's not legal. So go ahead, take a chance.. I'm sure OJ can use a new cellmate.

FWIW, there is plenty of fun things to do in Vegas that don't involve the strip. Ask anyone local on here. Then again, i'm sure you don't pay attention to that, since your world basically encompasses those three little miles.
