You can always make your own job too. What areas of expertise do you have? For example if you can paint houses or lay carpet, have some business cards printed up and go out into neighbourhoods and look for houses that might need your service. If you own a pick up truck, go around and look for yards that have junk that the owner might wish to have hauled off for a decent price. Most people have something that others will value. It might not be a job but it can help tide you over and give you network connections that can lead to a job. For example that yard you are hauling the junk out of might belong to a Manager of a store or a hotel and you can let him know you are looking for a job while you are doing this and leave your name and number.
