Hi Folks...

I live in alberta canada and have a god job in the oilfield its finally getting better again. I just can't get over the prices there omg to live in a loft condo for $100000 close to the strip.

The price for a condo where i live now is $300000 and no parking with no view and nothing to do and snow.It just makes no sense to pay that much here when a guy could be in vegas.

So my plan is to just buy a place out right no morgage and I have checked into condo fees and taxes which i think are very reasonable for where you are living .

I work lots one month straight then 2 weeks off can fly to vegas cheap.I have been checking on other sites seems alot of canadians are buying there getting a second home and now with the dollar getting closer.

So do you think this is just a stupid pipe dream of mine or a very bad investment.Ohhh I miss vegas

If you lived where I did you understand better. Thanks for listening

The dreamer.....

Vegas does get some snow occasionally.
Well, it may only snow once a few years but it is not absolutely snow free.

Maybe Los Angeles, San Diego, or Phoneix is a better choice as I can't recall if any one of them has ever received snow before (at least not the recent decades).

Loft condo near the strip for that price sounds like Loft5. If so it is not on the Strip, it is on the south strip which is miles from the Strip. Still on Las Vegas Blvd but completely different world.

Do your home work some of the condo communities are in trouble and are in bankruptcy, and some of the hoa's are in litigation. just because it's cheap doesn't always mean it's a good deal.

Is it called "Flamingo Palms Villas"? Is it the one near the rail track?
Man, I checked there few months ago and it was like a ghost town.
