No my Fliver dropped its tranny so I upgraded to a Model 'A'. Mileage not as good, but there's more room for my dogs in the back.

Drive slow...it's easy to miss the entrance to that center. He's all the way in back, then look for an old Toyota Land Cruiser parked next door.

Default Props to Cool Carl the Mechanic

Thanks to everyone on the site who has recommended him before. I don't know how to link sites but he was pretty easy to find on the web. I had planned on spending a few hundred to fix a front end problem. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem without any parts and I got out of there for much less than half what I thought it would be. Always nice to have an honest mechanic around.

Here, I'll try to help costaricageorge ...

Home Page Carl's Cool cars web site

We have two newer cars, so not a lot of need for mechanic work ... but you better believe we bring them to Carl whenever we can. Carl's always been fair & a straight shooter. We appreciate him & want him to stick around. A couple weeks ago (when we came in for a maintenance visit) we brought a bunch of Red Beans and Rice my girlfriend had just made (she's Cajun) - that way he & his guys had lunch if they wanted. Certainly the first time we've done that for an auto shop/mechanic.

As our cars get older, we'll be bringing them to Carl - I happily refer other people to him as I want his business to succeed. It's been HARD to find a good mechanic in this town. So many people talking fast and angle-shooting, an honest mechanic's a slice of heaven.

Carl, don't forget us little folks when you eventually do so well you have to open additional locations or franchise, OK?

I second the motion. Or is this third? Carl is great. I miss him on here but he's probably pretty busy these days. Maybe we can get him on Pawn Stars.
