My husband want me to consider moving to Vegas for he feel that his asthma would not be a problem. He live there 20 so years ago and said he could breath so much better. It would be a winter vacation home and we would come back home from April to September . Reading the comments on here it worries me about reading that it is a high crime area. So any of you who have problems with your asthma and you move there and it clear up I would like to hear from. thank you tweety

I have suffered with asthma all my life. I still have it here, but it is better and more controlled to other places I have live, including Phoenix.

High Crime area? YOu are kidding. Virtually all high crime areas in the USA are in the midwest and east. You don't find high crime in the SW.

I have asthma and there are certian area's in an around las vegas that cause my asthma to become severe, especially in neighborhoods that have bushes and trees like Mulberry bushes or Russian Olive trees and other flowering shrubs.
In newer built area's toxic plants and tree's are prohibited to be planted. I found I had asthman problems to some plants that were'nt available where I came from so it was quite a learning experience. I have to take my allergy medicine and asthma medicine more when I have to go to different parts of Las Vegas and Henderson. Or my asthma will be triggered .

I don't want to discourage you from coming just be prepared.

I used to go to an allergist out here and he told me that he deals with more allergies here than other places he has dealt with. I developed allergies since moving out her and my daughter has asthma but not bad enough to medicate all the time. I would definitely visit a few times before deciding to relocate
