I got a ticket for a carpool violation going on the US95. It seems like the cost for speeding tickets get reduced if traffic school is attended, but is it the same for carpool violations as well? Is there any hope of getting the cost ($347) reduced?

You need to go to court and plead not guilty. You will get a new court date approximately 1 month later. The judge will then cut your fine down and reduce it to a parking ticket if you plead guilty at this point.

Next time you "accidentally" find yourself in the carpool lane, at least have a giant teddy bear in the other seat so it looks like you have a companion.
One of my sister's actually did this back in California some years back and became really angry at the ticket she got when she was pulled over. She had a giant pink and white teddy bear in the passenger seat. The cop pulled her over because he wondered who the giant pink and white person was. lol

I didn't even think they were enforcing the carpool lane rules. Good to know they are.

lately it has been said that the fines for tickets will not be reduced, though they are still reducing it to a parking ticket in most cases.

If you broke the law, pay the fine. You won't get any sympathy from me. What makes you think that you're so special, and that you don't have to play by the same rules as everybody else?

Why do people always come here asking how to get out of whatever punishment they earned? Doesn't anybody take responsibility for their actions anymore???

Beause people in the other 49 states don't think laws for small things count or are enforced in Nevada.

I do not see anywhere on his post where he asked how to get out of the ticket.

Does anyone know this? Assuming you have two or more bodies in the car, is it legal to enter or exit the car pool lane from any point; e.g., cross the solid white line? They make it look like you have to enter where it begins and exit where it ends. But that seems dumb. It is generally illegal to cross a solid white line, although I notice most people these days haven't learned that rule, especially when they enter the freeway and cut you off from behind when you try to change lanes legally at the broken line. Of course it would kill NDOT to put up a sign. But I'd think they would give you the opportunity to leave or enter the car pool lane at any point you enter or want to leave the freeway.
