you know, it all depends on where they are working in the casino and in which casino. slots or table games. the one with the seniority will bid on the shifts in table games. they aren't really making that much money. the original poster asked about boulder station, and my guess is that there isn't much $ there.

Gamblers.....Poker Players....stashing their winnings....The Infernal Revenue Service has EVERY job in Nevada nailed down....

And when some dealer or Coctail Waitress over inflates their income to buy something ....WHAMMMMMM the Infernals know and adjust what they will accept....

NOW....that doesnt make them smarter then the average tip earner....

When I drove a cab MANY MANY MANY years ago...they REQUIRED that we report 25cents of EVERY trip as tip income....whether we got it or not.

for some guys, .....they were getting screwed.....I never made less then a buck 50 so I happily complied.

Tip Compliance sux

first off 200k doesnt happen... second, i pay out the waitresses so i know exactly what they make.. they average about 160-180 a day on a good shift, if we have a whale or a concert, that goes up to 250ish... as for not paying taxes.. Natali, you have no clue...

taxes for tips are taken out of the check no matter what they make...approx 400 a week shown as income as tips, and then taxes are taken out from that...they do not pool the money...they are also paid 7.85 hr plus tips (not union)... they are also hired as "models" so they can be terminated at whim. incidentally we are hiring this week for cocktails.. we were rated the best in vegas and intend to stay there.

remember that i am at a mid level hotel, however, i don't believe for a second that a cocktail waitress at bellagio is making a couple hundred grand a year, unless of course, shes doing tricks.

I have a joke.

Two Cossacks, Ivan and Igor, were riding across the Steppes of Russia.
Ivan says, "Igor, let us stop and take a peace."
Igor, in gruff voice, says, "OK."
Ivan says, "Igor, why is it that when I peace it sounds like the rain falling softly on the Kremlin? But when you peace, it sounds like crashing, booming, thunder, with heavy showers?"
Igor, gruff voice, says, "Because, you are peacing on my overcoat."

Ba dump dum.
All we are say-ing...is give peace a chance.
