Lake Las Vegas Village is hosting the Thursday night movies and Friday/Saturday bands for free. You can sit on the grassy knoll or you can also sit at Bernard's Bistro or Sonrisa for a meal and watch the entertainment. Hundreds showed up for the movie "Hook" last night. It was a fun night.

Lake Las Vegas is still scheduled to exit bankruptcy on June 21/22, 2010. Only a few creditors such as Carmel, Transcontinental and the City of Henderson opposed the plan, but they do not appear to be the big players. However, I noticed that a few documents recently filed by Transcon were "sealed". Meaning, they cannot be viewed by the public, only the judge. Not sure what that means? Maybe they want to swoop in and buy up LLV.

I've seen the Falls Golf course being fertilized and watered often. They are looking good. The entrance pond and waterfalls are up and running again.

Other than rumors, there is nothing concrete about potential new buyers for the hotel/casino. I have emailed the Mayor/City Counsel inquiring if there is any updated information, but no response. Rumors are that there are 4 possible interested parties and Steve Wynn is one of them.

I'll report back any bankruptcy updates.

I saw several people there with dogs on leashes. I'm not certain if dogs are allowed, but many had them and it did not appear to be an issue.

I did the outdoor movie thing once, it was awful with the hair dryer wind blowing so gave up on it after 45 minutes. I was thinking to myself at least I am not sweating but then walked inside the casino and was drenched in seconds. Do people really enjoying being out for hours in summer watching a movie?

We went to LLV Sunday evening (7:00 pm). It was like a ghost town. Just a couple of restaurants open with almost no-one in them. It was sad. I hope it turns around. I really like it out there.

Ghost Town? Sunday? What's it like on the other days? I think until the place pulls out of bankruptcy people will avoid it.

Well, it's like a ghost town only on a different day but I like the place, unfortunately locals nearby do not patronize the area. I have seen the area on a weekend during Summer and there were a few people walking around. It would be nice if it turns around. The drive time to the area is a turn off, especially coming from the NW side of town. I would much rather spend the time driving to Mt.Charleston which I did yesterday, it was beautiful at the Mary Jane Falls Trail with water flowing down from the melted snow on the peaks.

People tend to go to The District at Green Valley Ranch and Town Square which are similar in set up but with more selection of tenants.

Hi,

I would like to buy a condo just for me to exclusively live in it. Not rent out.
I want to be within about 20 miles to strip.
And water and trees a must. **** Is lake las vegas my only choice?
I am very confused with the talk you all are having ....Will it pertain to me or just people that want to rent out their condo or sell ? I want neither.
Is there another area near by with water and trees?

Does anybody know how many miles it is to a health food restaurant, a grocery store?

I want to buy it in full cash, if this makes a differences, since the buildings at LLV seem to have issues?

I am grateful for any insight!

Thank you for your consideration.

How many miles is this from strip ? Does this have z**tropical feel** lake and trees ? Are you saying too isolating even for a relatively quiet person to live in one of the three associations at LVL?
I wrote the above letter too Thank you kindly.

The wife decided she loves Lake Las Vegas. We are going to start supporting its economy. We'll be going out their for vacation from time to time now. It's a decision we just came too. we decided we're going to help that place stay alive.
