My wife waited about 4 or 5 months. That was pre-covid-19.

Thank you for you kind view of America and its people it is a rarity. Many years ago I accompanied my (not yet husband) to his interview. He has since passed away but he loved this country very much!
A friend of mine had the interview this week and applied last September. All questions were different then what some posted here.
It is kind of weird to hear all the stories and having gone through the entire path of legal immigration to hear that illegals just get a path or benefits while coming here earlier this month is insane.
During my citizenship interview I was asked if I ever collected benefits from the government and if I paid all my taxes.
How can illegals ever pass that interview, or if you disclose not having paid taxes and collected benefits it will be " oh ok, thanks"....
^ Right. Illegal immigration is gonna be a disaster. Also unfair for people like us waiting for more than a decade.
