I'm afraid you're going to need a visa for that, which you can either win, marry into or get sponsored by an employer. All of these are very difficult to get.

so there is no other way? aaand is it really difficult to get an invitation from employer? lets just say i'm a qualified specialist with some experience, would it be a problem to try to pass the tests or entrance examination considering this?

No other way, sorry.

And yes, it's VERY difficult to get sponsored by an employer. Unless you have connections, you need to have some exceptional skills that would interest an employer to sponsor your visa. I'd say it's near to impossible to do this in your chosen field; why would an employer hire a Russian firefighter when there's plenty of them in the US?

You can of course try and research the employment opportunity but there isn't much there.

In the mean time, play the DV lottery (if Russia is eligible) and hope for the best.

freeGreg,

Do you want to join the police or fire department? If fire, you want LAFD, not LAPD.

Welcome to the Los Angeles Fire Department
