Hello, I have a question about re entry to the States.
I left the US in 2008, so it has been 5 years. I checked my credit score and it was very poor. I didn't pay my college tuition and i had to move to other country for some reason.
Now, I need to re-entry to the US due to my business schedule. Would my bed credit score prevents me to enter US?
By the way, I am holding US citizenship.
As US citizen entry cannot be denied. Depending on the debt and how the debt was sold it may have reached the US legal system - then it can get interesting for OP. But without knowing details everything is speculation. Settle with your creditors - it may make life easier in the long run.

Even that's not relevant. Once someone becomes a naturalized US citizen, deportation only happens in the most extreme cases (treason, terrorism, etc.). No way is a bad debt a deportable issue. This site answers the question pretty simply:

STT you may have misinterpreted my post. The debt will not go away, die in a closet, it will rear its head at the most inappropriate time:>)
But not to the point of it being a deportable issue.
