I would just contact SCE&G, they are building two new nukes at the V.C. Summer facility. If they need your talents, they will do what is necessary to get you there legally.

Indeed, my main driver for applying there is to get in on the ground floor in new build.

Re: Philly: I don't think I would uproot my entire family to move there. We actually have a great place up here, good schools, good people. The only problem is the weather, and the need for an adventure.

Re: Security: those are very good points you guys raise. I have to have an extensive security threat analysis done every 3 years. I know we hire Americans at our stations, but now that I think of it, they typically are not operators. I didn't even think about the perspective of having a foreign person running a nuclear facility. It may actually be hard to get into authorization training across the border - and if that is the case, it may be really hard for them to match my salary, or even get close to it.

One of the lead operators at Summer was foreign born... But that was before.
