Greetings forum,

So I met an Au-Pair from Czech Republic in November. After about three dates we have been in a relationship every since then. She was already here close to a year before I met her and before that had already decided to stay here another year, with a different host family. I live in Sacramento and she lives in the East Bay. I drive to meet her every weekend and drive back. We very much cherish all of our times together.

I know it sounds soon but we are already discussing possibilities of extending her stay in America very seriously. She isn't after a green-card, but rather, just to stay and build a life with me.

I am under the impression that for someone with her Au-Pair status, we first get married and begin the green-card process listed here:

The Immigrant Visa Process

A few questions though include:

1.) We have to be married prior to her requesting a work permit?

2.) On my Affidavit of Support, I gross 39,000k and live with my parents (I am finishing up school and work over full-time). Would living at home be detrimental to getting AOS passed?

3.) Under a marriage visa the 2 year requirement to return home is void?

4.) If we held off on marriage and tried to bring her back into the country with the intent to getting married on a tourist visa, this is fraud?

5.) What is the probability that she would be accepted back into the country on K1 fiance visa after going home?

6.) After she met me, she applied for the green-card lottery

I anyone's help as this is a stressful time for us and sort of intimidating.

Rgards,

One American man and one Czech Au-Pair
