That is how long I have been on hold to speak with someone at USCIS.GOV

A bit excessive in my opinion. Two hours?

The guy gave an answer and I tried to ask him another question...he hung up.

Yeah...let's let the government control as much of our lives as possible...that's a grand idea. LoL

What would you like someone on the forum to do about it?

Hah - you young'uns have it good. Back when it was called INS, there was (I swear, I am not making this up) no way to get anyone from the INS on the phone. You could call a 3rd party help line who had outsourced to the lowest bidder, and they would literally read from the INS materials anyone could request for free. And this "help" was billed per minute, at prices comparable to - ehm - other billable phone services.

What a coincidence. 110 minutes is what is spent in the line at Newark the last time I entered. I guess they are shooting for that number or something.

(totally applying for Global Entry now)

Nothing has changed with USCIS. You cannot talk to the immigration officer, only the customer service contractor and they basically read you what you can see on the screen yourself. They can however, open a ticket for information request.
