Can I enter US with a valid B2 and another pending application? (F1, requirements)

I already have a B2 visa in my passport, and I applied for F2 visa (100% eligible), the consular asked for extra information which I provided, but the current status of my F2 visa is "Administrative Processing".

My question is: Can I enter US with my valid B2 visa while I have a pending F2 visa application that likely will take some time to be processed? Given that my wife has already got her F1 visa and will start the course in 01 Nov 2014.

I would assume so, as long as you fulfill all its requirements and don't overstay.
