Really?

Most of the illegal immigrants that I know of are Europeans who come to the USA to work and provide a living for their families back home. I also know several South Americans and Mexicans who escaped poverty and have built good respectable lives in the USA.
so you're among those that want law-breakers to be rewarded. regardless of intent, the minute a foreigner enters a country illegally, then that foreigner is a criminal. otherwise, if there is no such thing as legal or illegal entry or immigration, then all foreigners are more than welcome to come since there would be now law to break. of course, why would non US citizens want to get into the US instead of, say, nigeria? or bangladesh? or khazakstan? or iraq? why not those countries instead of US? by default, foreigners want to financially improve their lives in a way that is near impossible in the countries mentioned. there will always be the bad seeds among the foreigners (and the percentage may vary per country), but does that default intent justify giving law-breakers a pass? there are plenty of people in poverty in the philippines and haiti, but does that justify bringing everyone over to the US just to improve their lives?

what would you do if your neighborhood is suddenly crammed with refugees, asylees, foreigners with little to no education or skills or english fluency to offer to be productive and they start pan-handling or demanding welfare? that's what the refugees are doing in europe now. would you be able to help them yourself? of course not, you say. "the president/senators/congressmen should take care of those people." with whose tax money though? even as we speak, seniors living in school districts are now fighting for the same tax dollars that the school districts are demanding to be funded with--and now the very people who have very limited capacity to assimilate and be productive in the US?

too much political correctness and human rights will hinder the progress of this country, in as much as too much serving of human rights enabled the proliferation and dominance of criminals and drug lords in my home country.
