That does seem to be the go to answer for most of those unwilling to spend $50 a year on latex... or to spend it for someone else.

A large portion of the US population is Christian.

Too effin bad. Solve the problem by identifying the problem then fixing the problem.
The subset of X-tians who oppose common sense measures ARE the problem.

Well China and India has over a billion people and has less fertile land than the US but they are capable of being self sufficient.

Yet it is unlikely that the US will reach one billion this century or maybe even next century. In 2050 there will be 400 million people living in the US.
Read up on waste issues in China and India. Just waste as in what comes out of the northbound end of a southbound resident. Then move on to air and environmental pollution. If that is your idea of a self sufficient country please immigrate there.

Well there has been a lack of Government interest to futher populate the outback. Plus far more people that move to Australia rather move to the major cities in Australia.
Yet you are cheering on the idea of destroying desert eco-systems in the US. However, when the idea is proposed for your country, you start backpedaling.

Guess what? Most people in the US live in or near cities.

The southwest desert is beautiful with its wide open spaces. It's one of the few areas where one can go into a remote area and experience total silence. It is also extremely hot in the summer. It is very dry year round. As I pointed out more than once to you, people who live in remote desert areas have to have their water trucked in.

Yet you see no problem destroying desert eco systems and all the national and state parks just to cram in more people. That truly is despicable.

Actually birth rates around the world are in decline. Not just the developed world but increasingly the undeveloped world. It is unlikely that the US will ever reach a billion people.

Deserts in the US are due to increase, not due to more people but due to climate change. The same in India and China.

As long as the US allows 1 million legal immigrants per annum into this country, the population will continue to increase. Not to mention millions of untold illegal aliens.

At this point, there is nothing more to say on this topic.

We're still growing, but at a drastically lower rate than the past. I wouldn't worry about current immigration rates in terms of population growth. In fact, we can probably cut down immigration by 10% and be fine.

These numbers are for legal immigrants only, not illegals (should be zero) or non immigrants like those on work visas etc.
Too many people already in the US. Reason covid 19 is such a problem.
