Any advice, I have been living in Easton PA for a few months now. Some how I find it hard to find work. Would it be safe to say that I should be looking in NJ?. If so what areas are near by. thank you!

What have you looked at? Where are you looking? ... check Lehigh Valley Live... go on craigslist, grab a newspaper.... what kind of work are you looking for?

There's plenty around... so I venture you may not be looking hard enough? Do you have any skills? College degree?

Why not look in NJ? There are some companies in Phillipsburg, but plenty more in the Bridgewater area (where 287 intersects 78).

You don't have to pay any more in state income tax by working in NJ.

When I lived in Easton I worked all the way in Rockaway, NJ. It was pretty far to commute, but the traffic was very light - mostly through rural areas. It was a good paying job and living in Easton was cheap, so I was enjoying life and eating out a lot.

I lived in a rather crummy place on Ferry Street, but I rather liked it.

Thank you everyone. Yes I have a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Well I am looking to get into the social services field. I did apply to college for my MSW. Definitely I will start looking harder, in the news papers etc. I am normally on indeed and career builder.

The problem is that companies do not pay what people are worth. Min. Wage should be $11. Most jobs should be paying $14-$15. If you have a Bachelors Degree you should be paid $23 an hr at least. Sadly the Lehigh Valley keeps people down with their horrible wages.

Wow, are there any others areas that I should look at, excluding New York?

Jersey still pays quite a bit more than this area. I would suggest there, or south, Philly. Do *not* go north, where wages are even lower.
