Hopefully someone can help. When I was on a road trip we were driving from the Hershey area to North East New Jersey and stopped in this cute little town that had a small what I would describe canal that is covered in green algae.

I can't remember the name for the life of me and it's driving me crazy.

Thank you!

I'm honestly not positive it was a canal, but it definitely wasn't a river. It was a long time ago and I usually have a good memory so the fact I can't remember this is driving me bonkers.

It was a cute little town with small shops and such.

This may be a long shot since you said "little town", but possibly Easton? Driving from Hershey to Northeast Jersey leads me to believe that you were traveling on either U.S. 22 or I-78. If you were on the former, then you would have definitely passed through Easton and have seen the small shops. When crossing the Delaware, did you happen to travel over a green, toll-less bridge? Did you see another bridge looking towards the "canal"?

I'm pretty sure that you saw Easton, PA.

I agree with PhilliesPhan about it being Easton. It's certainly no small town, but it's along the route mentioned and has a canal.

That would have been a pretty good detour from your route. Maybe it was a different trip?? Anyway, I think you should explore New Hope and Easton both, just to see what you think!
