darn those pesky facts! I should have said that there is more then one zip code for Bethlehem township. I was assuming (big mistake!) that because my little town of Coopersburg is not a township, but a borough, that the same was true for Bethlehem, only of course designated a city instead of a borough.

bethelehem is full of gangbangers and is only a step above allentown

I hope you are renting because that's the safest bet in the deflating housing bubble market.

Full of gangbangers??? There are a couple of parts of Bethlehem that I might not visit at night, but full of gangbangers? I almost spit my hot cocoa into the computer screen.

I've lived here all my life. There is nothing funny about it. My wifes family is full of local cops and trust me, it's full of gangbangers.

I'm not arguing that Bethlehem has a gang problem, but I go to there all the time and think that you are overstating the problem. The cops are always going to have a skewed view of crime because that's all they work with. It's not like they're going to sit around and talk about the good people of the city.

I think Bethlehem township is mostly 18020 with 18045 (and an Easton address) in some of the eastern neighborhoods.. but there may still be some of it that uses 18017, but they changed most of it over about 10 years ago. All of Bethlehem, Bethlehem Twp, Hanover Twp, Freemansburg, and Fountain Hill are in the Bethlehem School district, but the elementary schools vary widely in quality, with Hanover (in Hanover twp) at the top, and Donegan (on south side) at the bottom.

Do you know how many verified GANGS are in the Bethlehem SD? Take a guess. In my opinion 1 is enough but the real number is something that WILL SHOCK YOU!

I would like to know more about gangs in our area. When I googled it, I found one article on gang graffiti, an initiative to stop gangs and something about a mountain biking club- a chain gang. I get the paper every day and they are not often mentioned. Any links you can provide about recent activity would be helpful for all of us.
