Okay, I'm back....still hunting for places to live & look at when I come in this week with my husband. He is working in Allentown, the SW end. There's a house (although from the pics it looks like it's half of a double, which is foreign to me! ). It's supposed to be located in a beautiful neighborhood of historic Bethlehem. The only address or info I have at this point is Wall St at High St. Any help is appreciated. I do not have school age children so that's not an issue.

Wall at High is in a very lovely part of town. It's a quiet neighborhood with beautiful houses, and it's within walking distance of the North Bethlehem downtown. If you like that type of neighborhood, then that's probably the place for you.

BTW, the "half of double" is probably the most common type of house around here. I don't know why, exactly - in South Bethlehem, it was probably built that way to house the poorer steel workers who didn't need a huge house. It has the advantage of lower heating costs (I'd surmise) while still looking like a normal "A"-roofed house.

I agree. Very nice area. While you are in Bethlehem, make sure you go down to Main Street near the Moravian Book Store and Moravian College. Moravian Stars, Books, Gifts at the Moravian Book Shop
