Hi everyone. I am considering a move from the North Cincinnati area to the Lexington area in the April time frame of this year. In particular, the Masterson Station neighborhood is what I am looking at. Can anyone share information regarding that neighborhood and surrounding area?

Also, have my Ohio CHL/CCW and will be getting my KY permit ASAP so I would like to know what local law enforcement (police, sheriff and highway patrol) are like in that area. Are they good about CCW permit holders or are they are they a pain in the anus to deal with regarding CCW?

All information is much appreciated. Thanks!

Don't know anything about the CCW, but I have friends and clients who have those permits and have never mentioned any issues.

Masterson is a nice area. It's only fault is that it is very generic and there isn't much shopping/dining/retail around it. I have sold many houses in that area and everybody has liked living there. When I am in that neighborhood I often see people running, walking their dogs or pushing baby strollers.

There is a low security prison that is close. It is so low security that when a prisoner escapes, they literally walk away. That freaks out some people but doesn't seem to really affect the neighborhood much.

Masterson offers a lot of bang for your buck.
