If there's a thread called "Dillard's Rant", please point me in the right direction. I have many opinions, but they all pretty much boil down to "yuck".

Otherwise, I guess we're off topic, huh?

Dillard's pretty much phones it in here compared to what they do in markets where they have more serious competition (north Dallas suburbs being an ideal example). The company has no incentive to spend money on updating and remodeling their stores here either since the only competition is Belk and they're not in a real mall. Since Dillard's has the anchor spots at the two traditional malls locked down, unless Macy's moves into the Promenade (and I can't imagine why they would) I don't forsee Dillard's having any serious competition in the area in the forseeable future either. Probably not super relevant to the OP's question, but I had to go on my mini local Dillard's rant.
I agree. Dillard's in Little Rock does not provide the quality experience it does in most places. I always wondered why Park Plaza Dillard's was so terrible being that it is the supposed 'flagship' store. I doubt Little Rock will ever get a Macy's but it wouldn't surprise me to see them get a Von Maur. People say it's similar to Nordstrom but for smaller markets and they are in expansion mode right now. OKC is getting one in 2014.
