I would imagine the population demographic is pretty much the same as before.

Maybe a few new immigrants, and owners of "luxury apartments". Some babies have been born.

A completely valid question and thread. What kind of measures have been taken to clean up that dumpy place? You understand that you can't have olympics in a slummy and distressed neighborhood.
