Apparently it's the new accent of the youth of London. It has Caribbean, Cockney, West African, and South Asian influences. It clearly reflects the melting pot that London has become.

More like it reflects their economic background. We have the same here with poor Asians with parents from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia and latinos from across Latin America

I'm a Londoner and I suppose I speak "Multicultural London English" to a degree, I'm 17. Its mainly a working class accent spoken by all ethnic groups not just blacks, Asians etc...
But this accent isn't just spoken in inner city London but all over SE England to varying degrees for example Essex, Kent even SURREY.
Accents in the UK is complicated because though people may talk in this MLE it varies on class, ethnic group speaking it etc.

Exactly! You hit it on the head. I even heard that there are variants in Birmingham and Manchester.
