The joints on a lot of the Sheetrock on my cathedral ceiling has started to crack. I have about 30 feet of joint that has cracked and/or the paper tape has started to peel from the Sheetrock. I think it's due to the poor quality workmanship of the drywall contractor who originally did the job - but before repairing, I'd like to have a structural engineer do an inspection to make sure the cracks are not a result of any structural problems.

Any recommendations appreciated - I'm located in North Shore/Eastern Suffolk.

Check out home inspectors. They may be able to help. Don't skimp.
