Looking into preschools near any of the following towns:
oyster bay, syosset, jericho, greenvale, roslyn, manhasset.

I have visited so many but have yet to find one that meets all my need:

academically based, nice environment, extended hours (8:00-4:30)

I have also visited many of the private schools like Friends Academy. I was blown away by their program and facilities but am not sure if it is worth the big bucks it will cost me.

Any recommendations, reviews or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

If you don't get responses on this forum check out the reviews on GreatSchools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community
This site actually "reviews" the parent reviews before they are posted. No one is allowed to comment directly on specific teachers or classes- the site monitors for inflammatory or negative language. Long story short, it means the reviews are well thought out and written. Friends has 15 reviews and you get a pretty good perspective on the school from them.

Default Marcus Ave @Old Westbury

My son graduated from the pre-school located on campus of SUNY College at Old Westbury. They have an excellent inclusion pre-school program and extended hours. My son was well prepared for Kindergarten academically as well as socially. He is now in a gifted program at our local elementry school.

Miss Sue"s Nursery School - in plainview. They are wonderful. Call and go for a visit--you will have no doubts once you meet them. All my kids go there.
