No good bagels in appalachia. When I had a bread route, I moved 1000 dozen per week. Yes, they were hand rolled. That was in 1983, my cost was $.90 per dozen. I couldn't pay via Visa.

Percent is not indicative of relative worth....40 cents is nothing to write home about or post on a BB

Yes. Hand rolled, boiled and baked. It's a shame there will generations that won't know what a real bagel tastes like.

% is indicative of relative value; stating that it is only 40 cents is stating the absolute value. 12th grade math.

Sounds like the merchant passed his Visa transaction cost on to you. If so he's probably in violation of the terms of agreement between the merchant and Visa/Mastercard that to charge a customer to use a credit card. The merchant can give a cash discount but cannot pass the transaction cost on to you.

The right thing to do is to contact Visa
