I must have misinterpreted Zerby's use of the term "pansies" as having to do with flowers.
Could it be an "anti-gay" slur?
Now that wouldn't be fitting, especially when discussing Asheville (which has been referred to as "a mini San Francisco").
Zerby seems to be coming off as one of those "my dad can beat your dad up" sorta guys. Why would any struggling executive who
makes $242K, get up on a Sunday morning, flip on his computer and begin to stir up a cracklin' pot of doo-doo? Wouldn't you think that after
a hard, long week of servin' the man, that he'd find more appreciation in his bowl of gruel, than coming to city-data and vomiting out a diatribe
of nonsensical internet effluence? Yes, I believe that he's down on gays and confused about the issues, but I also believe that he is unconcerned
with the feedback, an individual who is wrapped-up within himself, unable to contribute anything positive, every utterance a bragadocious barrage
of, better than thou, justifications and attitudes, for the state of his own miserable and self-centered life.
Those like zerby, will come and go, we see them one day and they're offline the next. They want to express themselves but usually gravitate to
assuming an outrageous point of view, confusing the difference between being read and appreciated or just taking an internet dump, letting the wipe rags,
fall where they may. No, zerby is no "brain-trust", no hotbed of mental health. I really don't think that he'll be hanging around in his new screen name,
but if he does, I just know that most of us are wise to him and I'll certainly recommend that he find a new issue to bellyache about...
I actually have some friends from Nassau there who love it.
Art/Music etc. Sounds like a poor mans Austin.
I cant see me ever going there but if I had to....I guess that would be the place.
Of course not. TARP, government bailouts to the Private sector, and stimulus packages don't count.
You're confused..I'm not surprised.
You are forgetting the $250 Billion that went to saving public sector jobs, ie, police & teachers. Not to mention the TARP bailed EVERYONE out, mostly states and pension funds that are heavily invested in the stock market. Thank God for the BAB's too, otherwise you wouldn't be able to suck off the gov't teat for much longer. Tastes good?
You're an OB fan and didn't even realize it, make sure to vote for him and his Big GOV'T policies in 2012.
Contrast that with this house for 1.2 million in Asheville with property taxes less than a 500k Miller Place house. But you get 3 places higher in school district quality. That LI high priced education has served you folks well! BBWWAAHHHHHHH
I dont live in Asheville but have visited extensively for work. I will buy a vacation home in the mountains there! I have spoken to about 7 people from LI there and it was what they were looking for. They all were happy. Miller Place school quality with less than half the tax burden!

Sorry, but I am not impressed. To put it in "your words":
Contrast that with this waterfront house for $2,185,000 in Laurel, NY with property taxes only a few hundred dollars more than the $1.2M overblown McMansion in Asheville. But you get 90 places higher in school district quality. That LI high priced education has served us folks well BBWWAAHHHHHHH
SO, I will see your $1.2M/$10,296 annual taxes/SD Rank 634 McMansion in Asheville, NC and raise you:
1 $2,185,000 (almost 1 million dollars higher asking price)/$10,898 annual taxes (a few hundred dollars more)/SD Rank 544 (Mattituck outplaces Asheville by slightly less than 100) Peconic Bayfront home in Laurel, NY!!!
PS: 7 whole people cannot be wrong when it comes to deciding what all of LI would like! LOL. You're kidding, right?
PPS: What kind of "work" requires extensive visits to Asheville, NC?
