I am considering Once Upon a Treetop, Wood Kingdom and a place in Smithtown called Hop and Bop.
Has anyone hosted a party at these places? If so, what are your thoughts? Or does anyone have a better recommendation?
Thanks for your help
Don't know if you feel your 3-yr old is "mature" enough for this but have you heard of "the Baking Coach"? Just went to one of these parties with my grandkids and everybody, including my 3-yr old grandson, had a ball.
First off, the kitchen is spotless!
The kids get a "baker's hat" to decorate with crayons and then wear on their heads as well as a cake box to decorate/put their name on.
Then they all get a freshly made ball of pizza dough, which the kids get to spread out in an aluminum baking pan and then "decorate" with tomato sauce and shredded mozzarella.
While the pizza bakes in the oven, they each get a 7" freshly baked cake, either vanilla or chocolate, and colorful icing to decorate it. When they're done, this gets stored in the previously decorated cardboard box which goes home with them.
By now the pizza is ready and everybody can eat the pizza they just "made"! Juice boxes or bottled water are offered for drinking.
To top it all off, there is a cupcake for everybody with candles to blow out and either eat there or take home--most eat theirs on the spot LOL.
My daughter brought bagels for the parents and the owners made coffee/tea for those who wanted it.
Those are bygone days, Tom Nobody wants to clean up after a dozen or more 3-yr olds in their house!! Especially if they're being dropped off by their parent(s) and have no supervision...

There in lies the problem. Excuses used by parents over why they can't or won't do anything for their children and expect others to.
We had home parties for our girls when they were young and how much effort does it take? Buy three large plastic tables clothes. First round each kid makes their own pizza. When it's baking the plastic clothe is rolled up and tossed. The next one is laid down and kids decorate their own visor. Out comes pizza and they eat. Into den to open gifts and up gets rolled clothe #2. Third one is put out and kids make their own sundaes. They eat them and cake and away they go.Roll up last clothe, sweep and wash kitchen floor and ta da....done.
