Mass Park is nice, sure, but let's face it, it can't hold a candle to Rocky Point.

Sounds like smart money is buying in MP these days. My family is very happy there.

Best bargain in south shore TOBay? Maybe.

I'm a little concerned about the lack of a "regional championship"-caliber cheerleading squad, but it sounds like MP is on the upswing and facing it's challenges aggressively.

Looking forward to Uncle Guiseppe's opening. Hopefully one day it will also close down and be under construction for 4+ years without re-opening. There is an establishment like that amongst the crown jewels of Long Island near the gateway to the North Fork. I believe it was called "Savino's Hideaway" when it last served paying customers sometime last decade.

For my money, you can't beat MP.

Cool Glad to hear

Grew up in Massapequa and sold homes in my dad's office in the town. Nice to hear. Good luck with the sale. In spite of everything, Nassau County ranks pretty high on a lot of lists, including education.

First time checking out the thread....wicked good.

I was almost sold on moving 'home' until I was reminded there's no big-bow sporting highly acclaimed prize winning pep rallying cheer squad.

You're better off in Massapequa than the park.

The park has extra taxes with little in return and more headaches with permits and meter maids writing you tickets.

I grew up in Massapequa Park, from 1976 and besides college was there till 2002. I and my sibblings are all products of the Massapequa School District, which was great.

I now live in CT, but could live in Massapequa or massapequa Park withouth hesitation again, people were nice, restaurants outstanding, proximity to the beach was great, and don't forget about All American.

Meter Maids?...talk about dating yourself with that term. Mass Park has code enforcement agents who ticket mainly for parking violations at the train station. They keep the riff-raff from parking and taking up resident spots.

The extra taxes go for roads and snow removal and admin. It's a small price to pay for independence from the town services.
