Over the last several years, I've read about this but it seems to be going the opposite way. Maybe due to the very bad economy or is it laxness based on possibly losing tax paying homeowners? A neighbor told me of a 1 family home on our block that the town was called in on and the landlord removed the stove and refrigerator, then the town okayed that the property now complies as a 1 family again, violations removed, no fines were levied because property is now in compliance. Several days later landlord replaces appliances and rents out the space again, is this truly what's going on? I thought the town had a get tough policy? Guess it's all smoke and mirrors...
