My husband has just accepted a new job in Islandia. We currently live in Monmouth County, NJ so the commute would be way too long from here. The plan for now is he will stay there during the week and come back home on weekends. Our oldest daughter will be starting college at a NJ State school this fall and our younger daughter will be a sophomore in high school so we do not want to move to LI at this point.

Any suggestions for where he should look for a studio apartment in the Islandia area. We'd like to keep the cost down as much as possible since we still have our mortgage to pay plus now a rental for him. Appreciate any advice as we're really not too familiar with Long Island.
