I'm looking for advice on putting together a sweet 16 for my daughter.
She thankfully wants to do something understated for maybe 20 or 30 people. I'd like to work with a company that will handle the delivery, set-up and tear down of everything.
I'm thinking we will need a tent, chairs, tables, a sound system, and little else. I will handle the food and my daughter does not want a DJ, she would rather put together a playlist on her ipod.
I've found many ads for event planners and rental companies. I don't need all the bells and wistles advertised, just the basic services at a good price.
we had a pretty large sweet 16 for my daughter but we worked with the most amazing event coordinator. She is young, trendy & affordable. I'm sure she can coordinate the services your are looking for at a reasonable cost.
the kids at the sweet 16 would probably just prefer plenty of beer, a few tables for beer pong, burgers, and some snacks. Save your money on an event planner or whatever you are trying to do
Where about are you located? I've rented tent, tables, chairs from a company out by Mount Sinai. They came a day or two before, set up the tent and tables. The chairs were left stacked until needed. They came back a day or two later and took it all away. I didn't rent a sound system as my stereo was sufficient.

I'm in Babylon, this is exactly the type of service I'm looking for. There are plenty advertised but prefer to go from a reference rather than flying blind.

A thoughtful and meaningful commentary, thank you for your contribution.

Thanks Kelly, from the links it looks like the scale of what this young lady provides is more than what I'm looking to do.
Rather than an all out bash I think my daughter wants to keep it small. No dance floor or DJ. We're going for more of a "hanging out with your friends" vibe than the "event" approach.

But it is so true. Why do people think that they need a big party for every event in their kid's life. I guess I am tired of going to 3 year old parties.

So you havent gone to the little johnny was toilet trained party??
To the OP, We are thinking of doing the same thing but borrowing tables and chairs from friends and catering from a local place.
In comparison, my daughter just went to a sweet 16 at Oheka Castle
