Saw this article/picture in The Patch (online) about trash left behind on Jones Beach on the 4th. Anyone who was there can confirm?

Can't go there during day or weekends. Looks like Coney Island. They really need to make it pay per person to enter beach not throw your entire 3rd world neighborhood into a vehicle for one price.

I Just came back from Maine. I told my wife MANY times, “No garbage or trash on these roads & parks like Long Island “.

Robert Moses wasn’t any better. Bunch of slobs with their music blaring too. Def won’t be back on a holiday or weekend again.

Coney Island is a cool place

Also, I've been to an actual "third world" country before, and the cities were much cleaner than NYC or even much of Long Island. You shouldn't generalize as to who is causing the litter, I know plenty of white American slobs who throw garbage out their car window.

It's everyone. They're all pigs. Animals.

They need to put out A LOT more trash bins on the holidays weekends. Those bins are always overflowing with trash and they do not make enough trips collecting them. But yeah Jones Beach is very ghetto now and sadly so is Robert Moses.
