Thanks everyone, I was asking for my brother who's in from out of town and wants to drive home tomorrow afternoon. He found plenty of places with gas on Jericho Turnpike in the Carle Place/Mineola area and no lines. The place he went to was the cheapest at $3.98, the rest were all $3.95 or more. It had only regular--their supply of premium didn't come in.
long line at the Hess in Plainview, was going to Home Depot in Jericho and the Hess there didn't have premium, only regular. Had to go a half block on the other side where the small BP was nearly empty but had everything. Went out again a few hours later and the Hess here was nearly empty. I think they're out.
I was driving home late last night, and all the stations I pulled into were out of gas. I managed to get gas today though. I can't imagine all that gas just went into car tanks as I can't believe most people are driving around on empty.
When I gassed up yesterday, the station wasn't too busy but it was out of premium and mid grade gasoline.

I didn't see any long lines like I did the last 2 days but........I went to the in-laws to check on them & there is a station on their corner. By the time I left their house (1/2 hr ltr) the guy was changing the price!!!! It went up 10 cents in a 1/2 hr!!! WTF?? Guess it's supply n demand. Then on my way home I noticed 2 other stations by me had raised there prices by 10 cents also since yesterday...
Just wondering why the need to fill up the tank? Can't you just wait until monday?
What if the power was out?
