The MTA services Port Jervis (84 miles from Times Square) and Poughkeepsie (81 miles) as well. The question is: At what point does one say they are no longer within the shadow of NYC?

And Montauk is like 100 miles from Times Square. Would you say Montauk is not in the shadow of New York City? New York is a pretty big city... it casts a pretty big shadow.

I think I pretty much answered the question already.
