I doubt you will have trouble with any CU. I've belonged to several over the years and use one for my banking now. They are usually so much better with the customer service than a bank. Also, their shared services set up means you can do your banking from any shared services branch - no matter which CU you are a member of. We still belong to bethpage even though we live in NC and we can access our account and utilize it in any way from here using a shared services branch of any local CU.
That is very interesting, I didn't realize that about CU. I like that Bethpage is putting ATMs in CVS pharmacies now. I still have money in Citibank because I like being able to pop into a 7-11 and use the ATM free of charge.

Yeah, it's very convenient since in the past CU's have not made good use of ATMs. But I'm talking about big stuff - when we bought our house down here we just went to a local CU that has shared services and got the checks we needed to buy our house. Then there was a screw up (our fault) and we had to leave the closing and go back and have the checks re-issued, which was a huge hassle that a bank NEVER would have been willing or able to accomplish that same day (and of course it was a Friday) but the CU got it done. It involved a few calls to Bethpage but it got done within an hour.
I was pricing out a new work truck to match the 10 year old truck we will be selling. It comes in at a list of almost $51,000 on the Ford.com build site. The site offers a monthly payment of $727. The fine print reads 'With $5,140 down; 72 month term and 4.9% APR.
Given the price of some of the cars out there, it's no wonder 6 years is offered.
Ever since I bought my 2011 at 0%, I will never pay any higher, lol.
Unfortunately I can't get that kind of offer on the car I want but it doesn't matter as interest would be less than 1k for me so that is good enough.
